Rain in Spain
flood.jpeg

The unbroken sunshine has left us for the time being. We have had record rainfall so far this year. The water levels in Andalucia reservoirs rose dramatically giving Southern Spain water quantities never before known.

Pueblo Cortes del Golf had their share of flooding and D block suffered the worst with D1 Anthony and Lynn’s apartment was badly affected with mud throughout and must of the furniture and kitchen damaged.

This first picture shows the water racing down the steps off the road directly into the apartment

This is Calle Chopo at the entrance to the apartments. The storm has now moved on and the water is draining away.

This shows after the storm has passed and the water level is receding. Note the water is still flowing in at the top right of the picture. The water entered the apartments at this point.
